West Vine Place
West Vine Place is a . nine-story office structure at 106 West Vine Street near the corner of South Limestone in downtown Lexington, Kentucky.〔Gaines, John. "Nine-story office building to be built on Vine Street." September 1, 1984. Herald-Leader (). December 5, 2006.〕 Completed in the spring of 1985 for $5 million by Lexington developer West Vine Properties, the tower is adjacent to the First Federal Savings and Loan Association structure. It includes two-levels of parking with entrances off Vine and South Limestone streets. The building features silver-reflected glass with a polished granite facade and a two-story granite lobby.
Construction began on September 4 after three two-story buildings were demolished from 139 to 151 South Limestone.〔Gaines, John. "South Limestone developers to raze 3 buildings for project." July 17. 1984. Herald-Leader (). December 5, 2006.〕 The former Zeppelin Super Gourmet Sub Shop, now a Mexican restaurant at the corner of South Limestone and West Vine streets, was not part of the development plans; it remains there engulfed on all sides by the two streets and the office structure.
